How much does Viet Nam really hate USA?

Sai Gon, Indochina used to be the capital of the French’s colonial empire ran by Emperor Bao Dai a mandarin Catholic & the previous Nguyen Dynasties only to satisfied the Frenchman by enslaving the population of the Vietnamese people under plantations to produce goods for shipping all back to The French Empire. There was less than a few percentage of the population which would be lucky enough to be raised wealthy or royal to assist and eventually lead the colonist government just in case a breakout of rebellious militias occurred. Many attempts have been made since 1885 to 1895 by "Phan Dinh Phuong”’s & his militias, he was considered a hero. Phung's remains had not been mercy to rest in peace because Ngo Dinh Kha father of Ngo Dinh Diem who was the member of the French colonial administration used Hero Phan Dinh Phung's remain as gunpowder to execute revolutionaries.

Phan Boi Chau formed “Reformation Society” rebellions in 1903, however his quests were unsuccessful due to a French informant/betrayer by the name of Nguyen Thuong Huyen who act as if he cared about a free Viet Nam eventually reported Phan Boi Chau’s rebellious organization to the French. He was arrested from his residual in China and they imprisoned him in Ha Noi. Phan Boi Chau was aware of Ho Chi Minh since he was a friend with Ho Chi Minh’s father, he was interested in meeting him one day but never had the chance.

The French colonist government controlled Viet Nam from Tokin (North, Ha Noi), Annam (Central, Hue), Cochinchina (South, Sai Gon). Ho Chi Minh was greatly educated by the French of which he used their knowledge against them. He formed the revolutionary party the Viet Minh who took action in the First Indochina War in 1945 helping American troops repel the French Communist & the Japanese as well as seeking for American’s MIAs within the jungles. After the victory over Japan, Ho Chi Minh read the “Declaration of Independence” for the first time, however the British, French & Indian troops came into Indochina and restored the French’s control of Indochina. During 1950 Ho Chi Minh again read the “Declaration of Independence” (an American script) hoping Viet Nam to be recognized by the world’s great power including the United States of America, however his declaration was only recognized by USSR and China.

America refused to recognize Viet Nam as a solitary nation. Furthermore the victory of Dien Bien Phu in May – March 1954 have cause the Geneva Conference in France involving America, China, France, UK & USSR to settle a dispute over Viet Nam’s Independence, however the conclusion result to the Geneva Accord to allow the nation to settle it’s solidarity under a democratic election. Ho Chi Minh was keened over the decision and took it as it is, however during the reunification process America intervene with the Sai Gon government (post French administrative government) having a pre-election between Ngo Dinh Diem and Bao Dai. Diem however won his campaign in a rigged election. The final election was then between Ho Chi Minh and Ngo Dinh Diem, however America later came up with the domino theory and decided to call off the election breaking the Geneva Accord contract leaving Ho Chi Minh to be the president of Democratic Republic of Viet Nam. (North) Holding his ground Ho Chi Minh was rebuilding North Viet Nam to bring prosperity & happiness to all of the people. During the land reform process many of the wealthy post French administrative officials were refusing to contribute to the reform and fled to southern Viet Nam with all of their income.

As evil as his father; Ngo Dinh Diem also executed many revolutionaries and Buddhist leader because he was a Catholic extremist who was prejudice against the Buddhism. After he executed them his excuse was that they were insurgents, he also proclaimed Thich Quang Duc (the burning monk) as one of the insurgent’s. Diem’s wife referred Thich Quang Duc as a human barbeque and encourages more of them to burn themselves as pleased.

Let’s summarize this article about how much Ho Chi Minh “hated” America.

1. Ho Chi Minh seeks President Woodrow Wilson to help remove the French colonist government and replace it with a nationalist government but was denied.

2. Ho Chi Minh’s Viet Minh assisted America in the 1945 WWII against the French communist & Japanese axis as well as helping America locate its MIAs.

3. Ho Chi Minh proclaimed Viet Nam as Democratic Republic of Viet Nam. (Following examples from America’s Republic Democracy)

4. Ho Chi Minh read the “U.S. Declaration of Independence” throughout Viet Nam from Ha Noi on September 2, 1945.

5. Ho Chi Minh again read the “U.S. Declaration of Independence” in 1950.

6. Ho Chi Minh signed and agreed to the terms of the Geneva Accord.

7. Ho Chi Minh held ground against the unfair intervention by America to call off the Democratic election.

Ho Chi Minh have step out of his way too far to promote his friendship with America, however the tyrant refuse his goodwill and sees his kindness as his weakness. However “You can kill 10 of my men for every one of yours I kill, but in the end you will lose and I will win!”

Did Ho Chi Minh started war with America and it’s Republic of Viet Nam counterpart? No… The irony here is that there were many leads to the Viet Nam war that is beyond fair intentions.

French a WWII ally of USA was beaten and humiliated after WWII. They were beaten again in the Indochina War. When the French withdraw they did not want their post government to be handed to the victor, so they had to gather the world’s power together in France and dispute on Viet Nam’s solidarity, however as intended the country was divided. The country may have been divided into two, however America came up with the “Domino Theory” suggested by Dwight D. Eisenhower to initiate action in Viet Nam. During the reunification process a leader had to be elected by the people , however the election was dismissed and America have chosen it’s leader to repel the “communist” from “spreading”. The gate to South Viet Nam was closed, Ho Chi Minh had no hard feelings actually. North Viet Nam continued rebuilding its economy until America became tempted to start a war. America continuously funded South Viet Nam’s government with military and money. America had spent $500 billion dollars in South Viet Nam, in short terms America bought South Viet Nam. When the military was ready, America decided to provoke war with the North Vietnamese in the Gulf of Tonkin. America had crossed the border exchanging fire however they were unsuccessful so they pass a misleading draft to congress informing that both of their ships were shot down by the North Viet Navy (what the hell were they doing on the coast of North Viet Nam’s border anyway?). As the draft was passing down to congress America’s intervention with Viet Nam was approved and they engaged in a rapid b52 bombing raid in the Harbor Port of Viet Nam (Hai Phong) killing anything in its way. This is what caused the Viet Nam war. America could’ve had Viet Nam as a great, loyal ally if they have only accepted our friendship in the first place, however the only appreciation we receive is a blast to the dark ages and a new friend called agent orange. After America’s withdraw from Viet Nam, immediately set an embargo/sanction on Viet Nam in 1973 from all NATO nations isolating Viet Nam. Viet Nam’s only support was the Soviet bloc until 1992. However with the decision of President Bill Clinton embargo/sanction was dropped in 1995 which allowed Viet Nam to resume marketing with the rest of the world. Viet Nam was also admitted into WTO on January, 2006. To conclude this article; all this leads to America’s “domino theory” and other idiotic theories that caused roughly 3-5 million deaths and around 58,000 of their own. Now in the 21 century Viet Nam wants to improve relation with USA favor over China. So how much does Viet Nam really hate America?

ZERO. The American casualties were minimized because Viet Nam did not want to kill American’s during the war, actually American POW were treated humane and with respectful. The casualties for America could’ve been much higher than roughly 58,000 but ended up the majority of around 300,000 Americans troops injured. Viet Nam was only trying to warn Americans to keep away from our country, not kill you. However kindness is not a way to communicate with a killing machine. Americans had to be dragged into war by conscription; is that an ideal example of American’s conservative democracy?

Did America have any rights to intervene with Viet Nam’s solidarity?
